How to Play DailyGamele
Each day DailyGamele shows one screenshot from a video game. Your goal is to name the game in 5 guesses or fewer.
The zoom-out mechanic
The screenshot starts zoomed in to 1000%, showing only a small detail. Every wrong guess zooms out — 600%, then 300%, then 200%, and finally the full image on your last guess. A correct answer reveals the full screenshot right away.
Guessing
Type in the search box and pick the game from the suggestions. Sequels and other games in the same series count as wrong guesses, so choose carefully.
Hints
Hint 1 is available from the start. The Final Hint unlocks after two wrong guesses. Each hint stays hidden until you click to reveal it.
Results and sharing
When you finish, you'll see how many guesses you used and how you compare with other players. Tap Share to send an emoji summary of your result — it never spoils the answer. Sign in (optional) to track your streak and stats.
When the new puzzle drops
A new puzzle arrives every day at midnight Eastern Time.
Worked example
You see a close-up of a glowing lantern against glass. You guess Half-Life 2 — wrong, and the image zooms out to 600%. You reveal Hint 1: "Released in 2007." Now you can see water beyond the glass. You guess BioShock — correct! The full screenshot appears and you solved it in 2/5.
